FACE 2026: Global Student Arts Showcase 
For Elementary, Middle and High School Students

What is FACE?

FACE (Fine Arts Competition & Exhibition) is WorldEd’s global arts experience, bringing together students from different countries to share original work in Visual and Performing Arts. 

More than a competition, FACE is a moment of expression, connection, and recognition, where student voices reach real audiences.

How It Works 

Step 1 – Start Now

FACE 2026 is already open. Students may begin developing their work and submitting from now on.

Step 2 – Get Inspired

On August 26, participating schools will join FACE Day, a school-based moment where students watch a short message from international artists and begin creating together.

Step 3 – Create & Submit

Develop your artwork at school or at home and upload your final piece by September 10, 2026.

Step 4 – Get Recognized

Selected works will be evaluated by international artists, and finalists will receive global recognition.

FACE Day – August 26 

FACE Day is a global activation happening inside schools. 
A 30-minute creative spark designed to kickstart your idea.

For Coordinators only:

Participation & Eligibility

  • Open to WorldEd students and students from other schools worldwide. It is free to participate.

    • Elementary: Grade 1–5

    • Middle School: Grade 6–8

    • High School: Grade 9–12

  • Submissions from non-eligible participants will not be reviewed or accepted.

Submission Guidelines

 Entries:

Students may submit 1 piece of artwork per category (maximum of 2 total submissions if participating in both categories)

 Categories:

  • Performing Arts: Singing, Dancing, Acting, Short Films, Instrumental Performances, Poetry Recitals.

  • Visual Arts: Animations, Drawings, Paintings, Photography, Crafts, Sculptures

Theme:

Artwork must dialogue with the theme: Perspectives - Different Ways of Seeing the World.

Artist Statement (required, max 6 sentences):

Explain how your piece connects to the theme, including its inspiration, meaning, and the artistic choices you made. Share any background or story that helps explain its connection to this year’s theme.

Submission Format & Content Standards

Format:

  • Individual entries only

  • Maximum length: 3 minutes (video or performance)

  • File size: up to 100 MB (for larger files, include a view-only external link)

  • Submissions outside of the required format will be disqualified

Language:

  • Submissions must be in English

  • If your work is in another language, then you must provide subtitles/titles, descriptions, audio/lyrics, and the Artistic Statement in English

  • Submissions without these will not be accepted

Content:

  • Absolutely no hate speech, explicit sexual content, or unlawful material

  • When referencing cultures or communities, provide respectful context

  • Avoid stereotypes, misrepresentation, or cultural appropriation

  • WorldEd is not responsible for the content submitted by participants, and entries may be disqualified if rules are not followed

Originality & Rights

Your Voice, Your Stage

When you submit your work, you’re giving WorldEd the honor to share, publish, and showcase your art in promoting both the event and your creative vision, anytime, anywhere. This is your chance to let your art reach wider audiences and inspire others!

Original Work Only

  • Share your own authentic creations, your ideas, your perspective

  • Plagiarism or unauthorized use will not be accepted

  • You must hold the rights to everything you submit

  • Reproductions or adaptations (like covers) are welcome if you credit the original creator clearly

AI-Free Zone

We want to celebrate human creativity in its truest form. For that reason, AI-generated or AI-assisted content is not allowed—whether text, images, audio, or video. This stage is about your artistic expression.

Every student who submits an artwork will receive an official U.S. Certificate of Participation issued by WorldEd School, recognizing their contribution to this international initiative.

Who share the making of content of their submissions will have an additional chance to win. The top three making of videos will each receive a $20 gift card. This is a great opportunity to showcase your creative process and share the journey behind your art.

We’re excited to announce our evaluators: Donna Cameron, Professor at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Mr. Frost, WorldEd Principal. With extensive artistic expertise, both bring exceptional experience to the table. They will carefully review and select the winning pieces.

Participants will also receive recognition certificates from WorldEd School, highlighting their artistic achievements and participation in the event.

The two winners in each subcategory will receive international gift cards, valid on various platforms and online stores around the world. 1st place - you will win $50 2nd place - will win $25

Rules

01. Eligibility

  • This event is open to all students who have not yet graduated from high school.

  • Participants do not need to be enrolled at WorldEd School but must be current students in high school or below.

  • Graduates are not eligible to participate.

02. Registration and Submission

  • Participants may submit multiple works in any number of categories and subcategories.

  • Each work must be submitted with all required information filled out in the registration form.

  • Works must be submitted by the specified deadline.

03. Categories and Subcategories

  • Participants must register their works in the correct category and subcategory (Performing Arts or Visual Arts).

04. Originality and Copyright

  • All works must be original and created by the participant.

  • Copies or plagiarism will not be allowed.

  • Participants must own all rights to the submitted materials. Reproductions (such as covers, adaptations, etc.) are allowed only if credit is given to the original creator.

Deadlines:

Start of Registrations

July 1: This is your chance to sign up and start preparing your submission. Ensure you fill out all the necessary information in the registration form.

  End of Registrations

September 30: All entries must be submitted by this date. Make sure to finalize and upload your work before the deadline.

Announcement of Winners

October 15: The results will be published on our website and social media channels. Stay tuned to see the outstanding works of art recognized in this competition.
